BOILER ROOM
The boiler room was one of the technical facilities that enabled the Salina’s industrial system to operate.
It produced the thermal energy required for certain stages of processing and for the operation of supporting facilities.
Like the fuel storage facility, the boiler room was part of the system for the “industrial production” of salt, allowing production to take place independently of summer weather conditions.
Like many industrial facilities, the boiler house operated largely out of public view, but its role was important in maintaining continuity of production.
Today, it represents part of the Salina’s technical heritage and serves as a reminder of a time when machinery, energy and human knowledge worked together to keep the factory alive.

The project is implemented by the Dr Martin Schneider-Jacoby Association – MSJA,
with the support of the Tourism Organisation of Ulcinj Municipality.
