MUSEUM
The beginning and end of the working day.
Before the working day at the Salina began, many workers would pass through this very space.
The former workers’ changing room was where they prepared for work, put on their work uniforms, left their personal belongings, and where the daily life of the saltworks began.
For a period of time, the building also served as a canteen for employees.
Today, this building has a new role. It has been transformed into a small Salt Museum, preserving part of the history of Ulcinj Salina through objects, photographs and memories of a time when salt production was one of the symbols of the town, as well as through a biodiversity exhibition with a particular focus on birds.
From a space of everyday work, the changing room has become a place for education, encounters and learning. The building will also serve as an administrative space for the future management body of the Salina.

The project is implemented by the Dr Martin Schneider-Jacoby Association – MSJA,
with the support of the Tourism Organisation of Ulcinj Municipality.
